ANON NFTs FAQ: Your Questions Answered

We get a lot of questions about ANON, the Liquid NFT Marketplace and NFTs in general. This page gathers the most common ones in one place, with short, honest answers. If your question is not here, email us at anonnfts@outlook.com.

About ANON

What is ANON NFTs?

ANON NFTs is an independent NFT project run by an anonymous UK creator. We build a connected ecosystem of NFT collections on the Liquid NFT Marketplace, release all of our artwork under CC0, and document our activity publicly on our ANON Proof of Work page.

Why is ANON anonymous?

It is a deliberate choice. We think trust should come from a public record of actions rather than from a name or a face. That is why we point people to things they can check for themselves, such as on-chain records and our daily boost log. You can read more on our About ANON NFTs page.

How many collections are there?

At the time of writing there are 10 ANON collections:

1. ANON Revenue Share NFTs

2. ANON Apes

3. Anon King & Queen Apes

4. Grumpy Cats

5. Anon's Skulls

6. Anon's Eyes

7. Aces by BESC

8. Ghost Dead Hand

9. Lake District NFTs

10. Vengeance

You can see all of them on our Anon Collections page, and how they connect on the ANON Ecosystem page.

Which collections can I still mint?

Anon King & Queen Apes, Anon's Skulls, Anon's Eyes and Aces by BESC have minted out, so they can only be bought from other holders on the marketplace. For the others, check each collection's page on the Liquid NFT Marketplace, which shows how many items have been minted so far.

What do they cost to mint?

Mint prices are set in FUSD on the marketplace. As a rough guide, at the time of writing:

- ANON Revenue Share NFTs: $250, supply of 100

- ANON Apes: $100, supply of 250

- Grumpy Cats (our St Patrick's themed collection): $25, supply of 90

The marketplace shows the exact FUSD price at the time you mint, which can differ slightly from the dollar figure because FUSD does not trade at exactly one dollar.

What is Aces by BESC?

Aces by BESC is a collection we created with our partner BESC. It has minted out.

Backing and value

What does "liquidity backed" mean?

On the Liquid NFT Marketplace, at least 50% of the mint price is held as liquidity in FUSD against the collection at mint. ANON Apes go further and add 60% of every mint. Our guide What Is Liquidity Backing? explains this in full.

Does backing mean my NFT will keep its value?

No. Backing is a visible amount held against a collection, not a promise. Resale prices can fall below what you paid, and the value of the backing depends on FUSD and the Liquid NFT Marketplace, which ANON does not control.

Do ANON NFTs pay income or rewards?

No. ANON NFTs do not pay income, and we do not promise any return. If anyone tells you otherwise, it is not us.

What is a liquidity boost?

A liquidity boost is a donation of extra liquidity into one of our collections on the marketplace. We make them regularly, and every one is logged on our ANON Proof of Work and Liquidity Boosts pages. See the Proof of Work page for the latest total.

What is the ANON Survival Index?

It is how we measure ourselves over time, so the community can judge the project on its record. You will find it on our ANON Survival Index page.

Buying, selling and redeeming

Do I need a crypto wallet?

Yes. You connect a wallet to the Liquid NFT Marketplace to mint, buy, sell or redeem. Your NFTs then sit in that wallet. If wallets are new to you, read our New to Crypto or NFTs? page first.

Which blockchain are ANON NFTs on?

Most ANON collections are on Polygon, and ANON Apes were minted on the BESC blockchain. Each NFT's page on the marketplace shows its chain in the Blockchain Detail section, so check there to be sure.

Can I sell my NFT?

Yes. You can list it on the Liquid NFT Marketplace at a fixed price or as an offer listing. Marketplace fees apply to sales, and the price depends on what a buyer will pay.

What does "redeem" mean?

Redeeming burns your NFT, removing it from the collection permanently, and releases its share of the collection's liquidity to your wallet in FUSD. Fees apply, so you receive less than the full liquidity figure shown. The redeem screen shows the amount before you confirm, and a burn cannot be reversed.

Are there fees?

Yes. The marketplace takes fees on mints, sales and redemptions, and every blockchain transaction needs a small network fee, known as gas. Liquid publishes its fee breakdown on its About page. Our guide How the Liquid NFT Marketplace Works summarises it.

Safety

Will ANON ever message me first?

No. We will never DM you first offering prizes, free mints or opportunities, and we will never ask for your seed phrase, private keys or passwords. Anyone who does is a scammer, so please report it to anonnfts@outlook.com.

How do I know I am on the real marketplace?

Type liquidnfts.finance yourself or use a bookmark, rather than clicking links in messages. Before connecting your wallet, check the web address carefully.

What should I check before I sign anything?

Read what your wallet is asking you to approve. When minting or buying, you will usually be asked for an approval first and then the purchase. If something asks for permissions you do not understand, stop and ask.

The art

Can I use ANON artwork?

Yes. All ANON NFT artwork is CC0, which places it in the public domain. You can share, remix and even sell things made from it without asking. Just do not suggest that ANON endorses your project. Our guide CC0 Explained covers the details.

If the art is free to use, what do I own?

You own the NFT itself: the unique token on the blockchain, its place in the collection and its on-chain history.

Checking for yourself

How can I check what ANON says?

Open the collection on the Liquid NFT Marketplace, look at its Activities tab, then use the contract address to look it up on a block explorer. Our guide How to Check NFT Backing On-Chain shows you how, step by step.

How is ANON funded?

Through mint proceeds on the marketplace, merch, and possibly advertising and clearly labelled partnerships. Our Disclosures page sets this out.

Where can I follow ANON?

Our Media & Articles page lists our Medium, TikTok, YouTube, X, Telegram and Instagram channels.
